CE Virtual Course (4 CE Units)

The Office of Dental Health (ODH) in partnership with UCSF is offering a no cost Continuing Education (CE) course on how to create an emotionally safe environment for dental patients who have experienced various types of traumas (i.e., physical, medical, emotional, or sexual). The presenters have carefully constructed this 4-hour informative and interactive session. This virtual event will provide you with an overview of emotional trauma and its neuropsychology, successful traumainformed care strategies and communication and de-escalation techniques especially as they pertain to the dental settings and creating a supportive environment for patients of all backgrounds. All dental staff are encouraged to attend.
