Important Notice from ACDS
Dear ACDS Members,
The ACDS Board of Directors voted to cancel the March 17 General Membership meeting "out of an abundance of caution." As of this date, we do plan to move forward with future scheduled events and of course will notify the membership of any changes.
We understand that these are trying times. As healthcare providers we are faced with challenges: Do we continue to see patients for non-emergent care? Do we continue to put ourselves at high risk while the world is self-isolating? How will we support our staff if we close for a bit? We want to remind you that we are all in this together facing the same challenges.
We also want to draw your attention to CDAs current recommendation to close offices for 14 days for non-emergent care. We support you in whatever decision is right for you, but also encourage you to not take the recommendation lightly. As healthcare providers we have a responsibility to set an example.
For more information on how the COVID-19 virus could affect your practice, please visit the California Dental Association at this link:
ACDS President, Ballan Tuck, DDS, has stated he will close his practice for the recommended 14 days.
Should you chose to continue practicing in the next few weeks, we encourage you to frequently check for updates with the ADA, CDA and CDC for best practices in infection control.
Thank you for continuing to support our society and our communities. We wish you and your families the best in these trying times.
